We hope everyone is well and healthy during these difficult and unprecedented times. We have decided to postpone the 2020 Estes Park Wine Festival until Saturday September 19th and 20th. While we hope to hold the festival at that time, we still need answers and coordinating has been difficult. Due to guidelines set by the State of Colorado, unfortunately we will not be able to have the festival at Bond Park this year as the limit would be 50 people. We will now hold the festival at the Estes Park fairgrounds / event center. There will be some changes including traffic flow patterns, more space for social distancing, handwashing and sanitizing stations, as well as other precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, the festival is still subject to cancellation at any time.
As of now, outdoor events in Colorado (under Governor’s Recommendations) are limited to a maximum of 175 people. The next phase would allow up to 500, which would be beneficial for Estes Park. We are working closely with the Larimer County Health Department. If we do not have their approval by the first week of August, we will postpone the event until 2021.
The Front Range Wine Festival, Wine Festival at Island Lake and Estes Park Holiday Wine Festival have not yet been cancelled. Boulder Valley WIne Festival is postponed until September 11th, 2021. The Front Range Wine Festival will be postponed as we can only have 175 people at this time. The new date or any new information will be out the first week of August. We will be working with officials in regards to the Wine Festival at Island Lake in the next couple weeks.
We understand these are difficult times. We have many people who are eager to enjoy these Colorado wine festivals with friends. We also understand that some people are not yet comfortable attending a festival with a large crowd. We will be offering refunds, or an option to use your ticket for a different festival this year or a festival next year. If we are able to hold the festivals with enough attendees to make it worthwhile, we will follow all recommendations by the health departments and to make it safe for all attendees, employees, volunteers and vendors.
